Strong Run for Crum at Tri-County

Hudson, NC: Jake “the Snake” Crum and the #1 Chevrolet are back. After several weeks suffering from electrical problems, the #1 car was back running smoothly this weekend at Tri County Speedway in Hudson, NC. Crum received his second 4th place finish of the 2008 season in the UARA Stars and still holds on to the points lead.

Crum started his day fast with two top ten times during the practice sessions. When it came time to qualify Crum was ready to go. He spun a 16.364, which put him in the 6th starting position out of 26 car field. Crum quickly worked his way into the top five and was able to stay there for the remainder of the race.

“Everyone on the crew has put in a lot of hard work to get the car back to where it needs to be,” said Team Owner, Billy Crum. “We could not be running so well without the dedication and support of everyone.”

Crum will be testing at Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, VA, all day on Wednesday, September 3rd and will be running at Lonesome Pine the following weekend to get in some practice laps before the UARA race on Saturday, September 13th.

Crum is currently first in points with 2 wins and 8 top five finishes in 12 races.
