Tight Finish for Crum at Newport

Newport, TN: Jake “the snake” Crum driver of the #99 Chevrolet with Team Mann, had fans on their feet for a near photo finish at Newport Speedway this weekend in the Super Late Model race.

Half way through the 60 lap race Crum was running third with the top four cars staying close. On that 30th lap there was some movement from the second place car causing a bit of chaos causing Crum to move to the back of the field. Over the next twenty-nine laps Crum was able to run down the leader to make a run for first.

“We had a good car and we were able to make a hard push for first in the end,” said Crum.

Crum will have two public appearances this month. August 19th and 20th he will be in Knoxville and Bristol Tennessee signing autographs at a Fan Day Event in conjunction with the Bristol Motor Speedway races.

August 22nd Crum will be back in Newport in the #99 car with Team Mann
