Crum Wins Super Late Model Race:
Shows Diversity on Double Header Weekend

Statesville, NC:  Qualifying on the pole at 12.80 seconds flat Jake Crum set the track record his first time in a Super Late Model at Newport Speedway.  Crum was racing the #99 car for Teddy Mann.

The near sellout crowd was on their feet for the newcomer.  Crum, starting third, took the lead 5 laps into the 75 lap race.  By the end Crum had truly shown his dominance with a first place finish by 20 plus car lengths.

Crum was able to show his diversity by then heading to the Lonesome Pine Speedway’s UARA race Saturday night. Crum was still able to qualify eighth while fighting the on again off again rain.  With 40 laps to go Crum was able to get around the hard blocking of Caudill on the inside.   Moving down the last stretch Crum was held to a third place finish.

Crum said, “We were very excited to run with Teddy Mann.  This is a great car and we are definitely looking forward to running more races in the future.”

His next race will be a PASS South Super Late Model Race with Teddy Mann on July 18th at the Newport Speedway.
