Consistency Is Key for TCR...Another Top 5 at Hickory Motor Speedway!

UARA-Stars Race 6
Bad Boy Mowers 150 presented by EverythingAttachments.com Hickory Motor Speedway
Start: 1st
Finish: 3rd
Pts: 1st

After rain delayed most of the afternoon and even into the early evening, the UARA-Stars finally got qualifying in around 8pm.  Jake grabbed his first pole of the season this weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway in his No. 1 Fatz Café/Made in Multiples Chevy.

Rain once again played a factor in the night and delayed the start of the race.  When they finally got things going, Jake led all but the last 5 laps of the race.  He had some tough racing against rival, Matt DiBenedetto, for nearly half of the race, but Jake was able to fight him off and keep the lead.   Jake and DiBenedetto made some contact with just 16 laps to go, but Jake holds the lead once again.  With five laps to go, the No. 50 of Jamie Caudill makes light contact with Jake and gets around him, allowing the No. 2 car of BJ Mackey to get around him as well.  Jake crosses the line in third.

Consistency is definitely playing a huge role this season for Jake and Team Crum Racing.  He has racked up 1 win, 5 top five finishes, and 1 pole in 6 starts in the 2008 season.  This team is a definite candidate for the championship.
