Team Crum Racing started the day with some concern after noticing some smoke billowing out of the car and leaking oil after the first practice session. They found a crack in the oil pan; the team fixed things up and got back on track.
Jake qualified the car in the fifth position.
At the start of the race, Jake found himself caught up in a three-wide scuffle which resulted in some damage to the hood. The damage limited Jake's visibility, but he soldiered on with the help of his spotter and his crew chief. The damage also gave the team concern when the water temperature kept running hot all day long. But everyone kept their heads up and Jake was able to pull off a third place finish after he gained two to three positions when avoiding some lap traffic in the finishing laps. This finish allowed Jake to maintain his points lead in the series for the second race in a row.
